Unable to detect hardware on my iPad 2.

Trying to understand why Apple would allow an app that uses proprietary gps hardware. I have an iPhone 4. Whats wrong with its gps receiver? Nice idea though but not worth having to go and buy another gps receiver to be able to use it.

Cmon you guys, a fabulous app like this and it only works for your external add-on device? I would buy this app in a heartbeat, pay money for it if it worked on my internal iPhone 4s GPS, better yet make it work on the iPad too! It is exactly what I have been searching for only to download it and be disappointed that it wont work on my phone without your external device. What a let down. Maybe some other developer is willing to plagiarize your app and make it work for the masses.

The functionality of this application is faulty and extraordinarily inaccurate! The SCAM is that in order for the application to function properly, you need to purchase the $100.00 device that plugs into your iPhone. Waste of time, money and effort! Buy a Garmin GPS - less expensive, more accurate, and more reliable!!!!

I do have the ultimate GPS accessory and lately it always wants to update AGPS data and just stays on the uploading screen. Please fix this.

Accessory work sporadically on an ipad2. Emprum keeps blaming Apple since iOS 5 and 6, but offer no valid fix. For the time being, this item is a waste of money because of its unreliability.

Listing should have stated that an external GPS receiver is required at a cost of approximately $90 in order to use this app. Bad news

Of course you need the UltiMate GPS module attached to your iPod touch. There. Is no GPS unit in the iPod. But the little one inch module works great! It took me going through five apps to find what I wanted, but the DBsys tracking GPS app with the Google map even showed which side of the street I was walking on. This app is used mainly to control some of the modules features. Read the description folks. And, no, I do not work for either Emprum or DBSys.

Bought their GPS receiver and added this app. It flawlessly updated firmware on their receiver, pushed fresh AGPS data to it, etc. It gives plenty of info on GPS state of the receiver and great granular control over it. I think it is important to remember this app is designed to augment their hardware. Their hardware GPS receiver works fine with several mapping apps on my iPod Touch. Customer service practically answers your email questions before you hit the "send" button. If you device does not have a built-in compass, you need to be moving to get compass info. I forgot the iPod Touch has no compass. Tech support straightened me out on that one.

I use this software and ultimate gps with my semi truck business and it works great! I use ALK software in combination with my iPad 2 and never got lost once! Highly recommended.

Ripped off by an app. - first time ever! This app makes you buy their gps receiver instead of using an iPhones built in receiver. I want my money back. Get Trimbles free app"my topo maps" instead - its free and its a great app!

I downloaded this to set up Emprums GPS. Used it on an ipad3 with the TomTom app. It provides five times the frequency of update, faster satellite acquisition, more accurate location than the embedded GPS. We hit every roundabout perfectly. The little thing was great.

They want you to buy their external GPS tuner which I guess would work with this. Useless for the iPhones built in GPS.
